Ohio State Route 533 (OH 533) is a short two-lane north–south state highway in west central Ohio. Existing entirely within Logan County, and to the northeast of the county seat of Bellefontaine, Ohio State Route 533 runs a distance of 1.8 miles (2.9 km) miles between Ohio State Route 540 and Ohio State Route 47 near the campus of Benjamin Logan Local School District.

Ohio State Route 533 commences at an intersection approximately 4 miles (6.4 km) east of Bellefontaine where the western and southern legs are formed by Ohio State Route 540. Following the route of Logan County Road 5 northerly through the farmlands of Logan County's Jefferson Township, Ohio State Route 533 has one intersection, Jefferson Township Highway 127, en route to its endpoint at its junction with Ohio State Route 47, a T-intersection near the location of the elementary, middle and high schools for the Benjamin Logan Local School District.[2]
Ohio State Route 533 made its debut in 1937 along the routing that it occupies to this day between Ohio State Route 540 and Ohio State Route 47. No significant changes to Ohio State Route 533 have taken place since its inception.[3][4]
